Working that night in 1969

while the Astronauts were at work, were any members here on the railroad working that evening or had stopped work for a short time to watch the coverage ?

We were in Upland at the time here is the local paper from Monday  ...

did any one save their local papers too ?

Working at Rock Island's Harter Yard in Oklahoma City as a mudhop (yard clerk).  IIRC, the evening turn from El Reno had just pulled into town when we gathered to listen to the radio.
