A variety of Burlington Northern cabooses
Author: Sterk

1. - Burlington Northern bay window caboose 11704 (x-SLSF 1730) and wide vision caboose 10153 were at Sterling, CO on July 6, 1986. This was the first and only time I ran across a BN bay window caboose and the only time I photographed this side of the old CB&Q motorcar body in the background.

2. - Former Northern Pacific caboose, Burlington Northern 10038 is southbound, crossing over the Union Pacific tracks at Sidney, NE on April 28, 1987.

3. - Burlington Northern “Freedom” caboose 12618 was in the yard at Sterling, CO on September 19, 1992. BN SD60M 1991 and caboose 12618 were painted in this patriotic scheme in 1991 to show support for Operation Desert Storm.

Nice collection.  I didn't realize BN had a bay window caboose.

I believe the BN had these for ore service around the Twin Ports also they inherited a few from the Frisco in1980 too.
