From The Same Glassine Envelope - (Photos three and four)

Penn Central (ex-NYC) 5223 and PC (ex-NYC) 1052 were the power on a Penn Central freight in Painesville, Ohio in early 1968.
1.) PC 5223 is an ALCO RS-3.
2.) PC 1052 is an ALCO FA-2.

The 5223 was the NYC first RS-3 which is still around having been purchased by Al Kallfelz from Amtrak. Repainted into the Lightning-Stripe and to itslast NYC number 8223 operated for afew years on the Adirondack Scenic.

First photo is an excellent going away shot; really has a lot to like.
Second photo is a nicely composed  roster photo.
Thanks for the nicely done early PC posting that appears NYC.
