All I can say is WOW! 

Really nice photos. Question though, I see an angular raised piece above the steam generator and 2 other angular raised pieces above each side of the top of the cab. While looking at other pics on the net of SDP45's, these 3 pieces seem to be used exlusively on the SP / SPSF locomotives. Can you please tell me what they are?

Icicle breakers. 

Those are icicle breakers for running over the Donner or where ever else they may be needed.  Saves the dome cars....

It was 1987 SP stopped using the SDP's for passenger specials.   Pics of the red 3207 in freight service are rare.  
Only the SP could pair such a loco with an SD39!    Righteous!
