Took this shot on Sept. 3,1992 ... I have it as Murdo SD .... anyone have a more accurate location? Update question: Is it still there ?(I asked this the last time I posted this too!) That's a former MILW unit of the same number if anyone doesn't already recognize that.
It was still there two years ago when I drove by it. Still looked the same. Date: 08/07/20 13:56 Re: Encore 23: South Dakota Central F w/copycat scheme Author: valmont Milwaukee Wrote:

Kerslake, who owned the original Super Chief diner, #1474 Cochiti (Budd, Lot #967, 1937, to Kerslake in 1968), now at CSRM. All 4 cars, including the #1474, were originally at the Bucksnort Junction Restaurant in Tea, SD, with 3 of the 4 being moved by J.W.'s son Wayne to Prairie Village in Madison, SD, in 1979, and then resold/(re)-moved to 1880 Town in Midland, SD, in 1981.
Diner #1482 (Budd, Lot #976, 1937, to Kerslake in 1970). Lunch counter diner #1552 (Budd, Lot #9627-013, 1948, to Kerslake in 1969). Baggage-express #3419 (AC&F, Lot #2855, 1947, to Kerslake in 1968). Sources: 1. "Streamliner Cars Volume Two: The Budd Company" by W. David Randall (RPC Publications, 1981) 2.
