Actor Kevin Dobson passes; LIRR trainman

Kevin Dobson passed 9/6/2020 at age 77, he was best known for roles on Knots Landing and Kojak, where he played NYPD Det. Bobby Crocker (Crocker!) Telly Savalas' sidekick.
During the 1960s, he worked on the Long Island as a trainman, brakeman, and conductor. He was also an Army MP, and was a veteran's advocate.

Kevin was also a bit of a railfan.  The late Bob Phillips was the editor of Knott's Landing and a dear friend and foamer with whom I chased steam all over the west, plus early photo freight charters.  Kevin used to threaten to join Bob and I for a 4449 chase but never did.  Truly nice man.

Rode on a Long Island Railroad train and he and I hid out in the vestibule as the train was totally packed going east from Penn Station. Nice guy. Also was on TV show West Wing.
Some TO people are missing some recognition part of their brain.

He was a Rail. He did the Job. He knew the life. I never meet him but he is my brother. Highball! No work enroute.
