Cool stuff, thanks for posting!  The ex-Milwaukee power I can understand, and teh ex-BN SD45 may have been one of the two Soo purchased, and ultimately dumped.  The N&W SD35 is also understandable as Soo leased a bunch of them about this time, although i never shot one.  However, there are some real oddballs in this video including ex-SR SD45's and an ex-Conrail Geep, oriented long hood forward.  You have to wonder what they were doing in Minneapolis.

Was wondering the same. CR GP9'S, N&W SD35's, SOU SD45'S and a few others.  Rebuild fodder? Or was there a scrapping outfit located here?  Ben

I made a few trips there about the same time and I believe these were going to the razor blade shop....

The thing was units would actually come and go from there, not at any normal velocity, but they would change. At the time they still did all the heavy maintenance there, with only lite maintenance done at the old Milwaukee shops at Pigs Eye Yard. 

Was that taken on Thanksgiving day possibly? That was one very quiet rail facility! Absolutely no movement of anything seen or even heard of any kind. With the kids in the background noise it sounded more like a park setting.
