A Busy Afternoon at Dolton
Author: MacBeau

A sample of what came over the diamonds in under ninety minutes that day back in July 1993 at Dolton, IL. The female voice while the CP is passing is from a Little League game.

Be of good cheer,

Really nice video, filled with classic Dolton Jct. action. IIt's quite the place. I've spent a few afternoons and evenings there with traffic like that, and look forward to doing so again in the months ahead. Thanks for reminding me of one more thing to look forward to once again in this New Year!

Good stuff, thanks for posting.  I particularly liked the third train with it's A-B-A set of switchers.  As far as I know, only the IHB ever did that.

That was fun to watch, thanks for sharing. Love the big ALCO in the CP container train.

Never been there.  I gather that railfans need to stay inside the City Hall public parking lot (red spaces)?  Has the traffic density remained fairly constant over the last few years (pre-Covid)?

Thanks!
