Level cars. Very unusual for the Sunset. I suppose the ex-Santa Fe Hi-levels were getting retro fitted for HEP. Also I am surprised to see the phase 1 paint scheme of the lead locomotive. The three consists used were handed down from the Starlight when it received Superliners. It was a real step down from earlier Sunsets that at least had Hi-Levels. Those had all gone to Topeka for conversion to HEP.
