One of my favorite locations on Donner with questionable access these days. Used to be able to drive to the grade crossing and park,
then hike east along the ROW. Very pleasant area especially in the Spring with snowmelt water flowing at several locations.
The nice sounding K5LL horns on the UP SD70ACE's and AH units becoming more common with all the new EMD locomotives adds some class
to railroading over Donner.

Calling this a WP Wednesday with UP 1983 is misleading. Some would call it fraud.
UP 1983 was never a WP locomotive and it sure isn't wearing a WP paint scheme.

Some people are never happy.... It IS the WP Heritage unit painted to celebrate the WP. Good video, too!

No it IS a UP engine in a party dress. Great UP video and love the WP photos. Thanks for sharing.
