Another B&O Camden Station photo
Author: ClubCar

Back in the mid 1970's, as I have mentioned before, the Chessie System (B&O) were operating the commuter trains for the Maryland DOT, and as the number of passengers continued to increase, the railroad was forced to operate some conventional passenger cars as they did not have enough Budd RDC's for this service.  The photo attached shows a commuter train on track #2 in the station.  These commuter trains at times were a mixture of RRP coaches, B&O coaches, and on occasion, an Amtrak car could be found.

I am really enjoying these historical posts! Thanks.  From the window arrangement on tha Amtrak car, I wonder if it is a former C&O coach. We rode in such a coach on a trip from Raleigh, NC to Orlando, FL in 1974.
