1974 and no sign of Amtrak
Author: bandob

It is 1974 and there is no sign of Amtrak, at least not on this National Limited at Paradise, PA.  Penn Cetral GG1, Baggage Car and 16 Duplex Roomette, 4 DBR sleeper with no visinble road name, and what may be a Southern Pacific 10-6 sleeper. Perhaps the diner and coaches were in Amtrak colors, but I do not remember.

Nice shot!  Washington, DC or New York City based passenger train and engine crews on the former PRR worked between Washington, DC and NYC.

Nice shot.  Just want to point out that there is one sign of Amtrak and that's the number on the GG1.
