The Conductor of the Chicago bound California Zephyr reads some special instructions for a Pullman passenger before the train leaves the Oakland Yard. This was one of the last runs of the California Zephyr on the Western Pacific.

The last month of WP CZ service was a madhouse of fans all along the route getting in their last chance at photos. It would be repeated 12 years later in 1982 when the WP itself was about togo away.
