Hagerstown Maryland Western Maryland Railway Yard
Author: ClubCar

On the same day in February 1972 that the Reading 2102 operated from Baltimore to Hagerstown, Maryland, along with some of the passengers who rode the trip, they were treated to seeing these engines in the Western Maryland Railway Yard.  Happy Thanksgiving one and all.

Super scene - Thanks for letting us enjoy this view showing not only a PA but also a typical group of WM/RDG locomotives.

What's the explanation for the D&H PA visit?

I do not know the answer but at any time I ever went to that yard one could find all kinds of locomotives from other railroads, especially Norfolk & Western Engines.

I seem to remember reading somewhere the PA's were to be the helpers for the excursion. They had a mechanical issue, and WM FA's became the helpers.
