WM 3799 is in Sterling, Ohio on October 31, 1981. She has entered the wye and will head north towards Seville, Ohio and on.

Perhaps Chessie System attached the beacon light. 1981 was still Chessie System.

#3799 was a regular visitor at the Newark, Ohio yard, also seen in Columbus and Zanesville.

I'd see it occasionally used for switching the Newark yards after the 9500-seriies NW-2's were
sidelined in the early 80's.

It is hard for this old-timer to accept Western Maryland doing anything in Ohio, ever. They just seemed to belong to remote coal mining in the hollers of WV or dragging coal and freight to Hagerstown and Baltimore.
