Nostalgia & History > Super Chief on Raton Pass - Part 2Date: 03/27/24 05:14 Super Chief on Raton Pass - Part 2 Author: robj as a followup to https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,5838410
One of my quirks is if I see a photo or read post that interests me I might dig a little online. I was a little surprised to find this with only a slight angle difference even tho it is great location. Wonder if I had old mag's I'd find another at this location, railfan if you see a good location you try to look it up. Of note of course the double track but more apparent is the inner "guard" rails so must be a bridge? Bob Fair Use Citation suggested:Plummer, Roger S. the highway overpass the photographer is on. But looking at the map https://mapper.acme.com/?ll=36.91969,-104.45131&z=15&t=U&marker0=36.90300%2C-104.43900%2CRaton%20NM&marker1=36.91968%2C-104.45130%2C2.1%20km%20NxNW%20of%20Raton%20NM I see there is a bridge underneath the overpass, so I suppose that's why the guard rails.
