San Joaquin Daylight at 16th st
Author: photobob

Gee with all these Tony J photos I was starting to feel left out. Heres my contribution to Oakland memories. The San Joaquin Daylight arriving at the 16th St Station in the early 60's. A Greyhound "Highway Traveler" waits to take the San Francisco bound passengers across the bay. A few years earlier a great ferry boat ride would have been the normal mode of transportation to cross the bay. We had a pretty good snowstorm here in Dunsmuir last night so every time I tried to post this photo the power would go out.

Great shot. I dont suppose you got any other shots of that "dirty old dog". I love buses just as much as trains.
