Canadian Railroads > Some Recent Squamish Sub. TrainsDate: 07/18/12 13:16 Some Recent Squamish Sub. Trains Author: loleta Two of the usual, and one not-so-usual:
1. Train 546 is nearly home, southbound at Westbay. 2. Southbound RMR 8011 at Lions Bay. 3. Running as train 494, a geometry train behind CN 5350 heads south near mile 8.5. Trains Author: CP9300 Loleta, it still amazes me how you continue to find new spots with the ever encroaching bushes on the Squamish Sub. I didn't even know there were this many angles. Excellent work, please keep it up. It is a view many of us never got to see even when we did travel to the area. I applaud you for your work and dedication to photo documenting this area.

Here's one of 546 this morning at mile 8.5--I arrived about 3 seconds before the train did. I head this train going north this morning at about 3:45, so I figured it would be making a later-than-usual return southbound, which it did. It must have met the northbound RMR passenger train at either Porteau or Squamish, a situation these two trains usually avoid. This is the first time I've gotten a decent photo of one of these ex-UP units on the point. Loleta Fernbridge Date: 07/19/12 12:18 Re: Some Recent Squamish Sub. Trains Author: crashnational We met the RMR at Porteau.
