Some Recent Squamish Sub. Trains
Author: loleta

Two of the usual, and one not-so-usual:
1. Train 546 is nearly home, southbound at Westbay.
2. Southbound RMR 8011 at Lions Bay.
3. Running as train 494, a geometry train behind CN 5350 heads south near mile 8.5.

Loleta, it still amazes me how you continue to find new spots with the ever encroaching bushes on the Squamish Sub. I didn't even know there were this many angles. Excellent work, please keep it up. It is a view many of us never got to see even when we did travel to the area. I applaud you for your work and dedication to photo documenting this area.

Thanks for the kind words, A.J.

Here's one of 546 this morning at mile 8.5--I arrived about 3 seconds before the train did. I head this train going north this morning at about 3:45, so I figured it would be making a later-than-usual return southbound, which it did. It must have met the northbound RMR passenger train at either Porteau or Squamish, a situation these two trains usually avoid.

This is the first time I've gotten a decent photo of one of these ex-UP units on the point.

We met the RMR at Porteau.
