Canadian Railroads > A Little North Van ActionDate: 10/08/14 12:44 A Little North Van Action Author: loleta I managed to carve out a little time between errands for train watching yesterday afternoon, and CN obliged:
1. Three of CN's old dogs bring a unit sulfur train into the former BC Rail yard in North Vancouver. These transfer trains out of Thornton Yard remind me of the various SP haulers I used to photograph in Los Angeles in the late '90s, with their rusting assortments of SD40s and '45s. 2, 3. Remote-control SD40 6022 and SD60 5470 have finished switching the woodchip mountain at Fibreco, and are heading back into the yard, with the Lions Gate bridge in the distance. Great to see the sun. From Squamish this morning: 5 units will head north on 571. Stay well, keep the camera going! 611 Date: 10/10/14 08:50 Re: A Little North Van Action Author: ns1000 I LIKE Pic 1!!!
