Canadian Railroads > West Vancouver?

At first glance, one might think West Van was the location of the first photo.  The lead Dash-9 certainly belongs there, and the bridge looks kind of familiar too.

But that's the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge, not the Lion's Gate, and BCOL 4651 is at the opposite end of the country (mile 12 of CN's Dartmouth Sub), far from its former "home". 4651 did a day or two on the gypsum trains, and then got shuffled off to 408/407, the daily trains between Moncton and Dartmouth, this week.

In the second photo, 407 has a clearance and is headed west at mile 10 of the Dartmouth Sub at 09:06 on Saturday morning, with the "new" bridge (A. Murray MacKay, built in 1970) between Halifax and Dartmouth in the background.

In the last frame, the three GEs have the train of 13 "junk" cars and 40 autoracks rolling at track speed past Laurie Park, mile 25 of the Bedford Sub.  The crew will pick up more traffic from the CBNS in Truro, on their way to Moncton.

One can also tell it wasn't Vancouver because the advancement of Spring is far stunted compared to the "Wonderful West".  Also, I recognise you as one of our fantastic contributors from Novelle Ecosse.
