Canadian Railroads > More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571Date: 05/22/15 07:43 More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571 Author: loleta Trains 570 and 571 are the daily freights on CN's Squamish Sub., running between Prince George and Squamish. Some time after 570 arrives in Squamish, a new crew takes the power, assembles their train, and departs as 571. Here are some recent photos:
1. Three shiny new GEs, led by 2954, lead 571 through the Cheakamus Canyon north of Swift. 2. An hour or so later, the same train winds along the shore of Green Lake north of Mons. 3. In fading light between Pemberton and Mt. Currie. Loleta Fernbridge Date: 05/22/15 07:46 Re: More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571 Author: loleta 4. Train 570, 2954 south, in Cheakamus Canyon.
5. This view of 571 shows just how rugged the canyon is. - L.F. Date: 05/22/15 09:31 Re: More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571 Author: hoggerdoug Great pictures, keep them coming!! From some of the view and vantage points, you must be part mountain goat or have great hiking boots. Doug

Nice work. Cheers. Posted from iPhone Date: 05/23/15 18:52 Re: More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571 Author: Helo-Mech Very nice Loleta! I took a similar picture to your #1 at the south end of the bridge. To say the least, it was not a good place to be when the train went by. My appologies to the crew if I caused them any greif. Did you photo shop out the graffiti on the bridge pier or has it been painted over?
Really like #5, don't think I've seen a photo taken there before. Good work. Mike N. Date: 05/23/15 22:33 Re: More Squamish Sub. Action: Trains 570/571 Author: Train611 Rreat location images LF!
