Canadian Railroads > Part 2, CNoR Centennial Celebration in Kamloops, BC

On June 19th, 2015 a celebration was held to mark the last spike of the CNoR, here are a few images from the day/night

#1 - The celebratory train pulling into the Kamloops RMR station. Special thanks to CN for donating the use of the diesel vertion of the 2141 and the Steam version was unable to be used as the rebuild is not complete yet, It should be ready within the next 2 months though.

#2 - Looking out an x-BCR Caboose as we head onto the bridge towards CN's Kamloops Yard.

#4 - After we were dropped off at the crossing along the interchage track, CN 2141 made a reverse movement for a photo run by, she does her best to immitate the steamer without blowing up. (She caught on fire in 2013 and looks as if recently or even for this event CN applied a fresh coat of paint to the pilot/plow, fuel tank, and trucks as she smelled somewhat fresh!)

#5 - After everyone disembarked at the Kamloops RMR station 30 min later the RMR arrived from Vancouver, BC

#6 - Busted!!!!!

#7 - Following a buffet dinner and a wonderful presentation on the CNoR in the early days we headed back down to the Steam shops where both 2141's were put side by side for a night photography session.

#8 - Now on CN's Ashcroft Sub an ON TIME Westbound Via lights up the territory at Kissick.

Part 3 in the next few days as time permits!

Great shots, I wish I had of know this was going on, I was actually in town that day.  It was the start of the big move.  Maybe soon, I'll get to see this type of thing more often.
