Canadian Railroads > Kamloops Heritage Railway...2141...Steams up... Again

Hello...

After thousands of volunteer hours and many thousands of dollars Kamloops Heritage Railway's Locomotive 2141 was on the rails again. 
Three successful trips were made on 8/21 and 8/22/2015. There were smiles and thumbs up from all who could see and/or rode the train.

After a complete re-tubing plus many other repairs to bring the locomotive required certifications up to date, the crews assembled the train of 4 passenger cars and a caboose for the 7 mile return trip from Lorne St. station in Kamloops out to the CN wye on the CN Okanagan Sub.

The weather was great, with a couple of delays due to other trains (part of the reality of operating on an existing route with freight traffic).

The Kamloops Heritage Railway website will list the trips for the remainder of 2015.

Nice ! Thanks for the report. Gotta love those ditch lights.

I like what you did with the caboose.  A touch of the BCR logo to tie it to its' heritage.
