Sunny Thursday

When the air is cold and dry with fresh snow on the ground winter photography is at its best.  Such were the conditions today for CN 149 approaching Coteau and CN 368, 327 at Dorval.

Beautiful images. Your seeing CSX units in Montreal probably gives you the same strange feeling as my seeing CN or CP on CSX in my area.

Great looking images.

Clear and cold and snow is great for colour scenes.

Yesterday was even crazier.  Not only do we get CSX daily in Montreal we also get NS power on the train that comes up from Enola.   CN will often "borrow" the NS power and use it for a transfer run or local job until it's time for it to go back south.   Yesterday the NS power included a UP unit and it's shown here backing onto a train of double stack cars in Turcot to drag them to the Port of Montreal.  The Montreal skyline is in the background.

CSXT 7812 is the former 1992 Presidential unit "Spirit of America."
