CN in East Vancouver
Author: loleta

My new photographic obsession is CN's midday transfer from the Port of Vancouver to CN's Main Yard via the Burrard Inlet Line. Here it is at Glen Yard a few days ago, going north and then returning south. Unaccustomed to regular trains on this line, some of the locals are showing their impatience: the train had stopped briefly, but was moving again when I took the photo of this cyclist, the second of two to climb across.

Just wondering what the painted wall on the left in the first photo looks like
Would you happen to have a photo of that?

Sorry, I don't remember. I'll try to remember to take and post a photo next time I'm down there.

Maybe is like the "chewing gum wall"
next to Pikes Place Market in Seattle.

I am really curious what that passenger train is on the left side. It's not the sky train, or VIA, or even the West Coast Express. What is it??

An Amtrak Cascades Talgo. It's the newer Type, Series 8, with a cab car at one end, as you see here. It's on Train 510, the late-morning arrival from Seattle.

And the object of much derision from folks here on TO ...
