9 for "on this day"
Author: hoggerdoug

March 26, 2007 a scant 10 years ago, and the digital pixels are still good.  We were northbound from Williams Lake and took the siding at Norlake to let the southbound by. Norlake was located mile 316.6 on the Prince George subdivision and was a 6400 foot long siding on the east side of the main track. Also there was a mill lead track off the siding that gave yard crews access to several lumber mills. On the west side of the main track there was another shorter siding, and in crew slang the tracks were the "east pass" and the west pass. Depending on which newer or older employee timetable and what method of train control was being used and where the yard limits, cautionary limits or "end of main track" signs were located, Norlake was sometimes not shown in the timetable or at least not as a siding, just a station name or sometimes neither one.

Anyhow, we had a few minutes waiting for our opposition to arrive and I took some images.
