Canadian Railroads > Cochran, ON in November 1978

Roger Puta was in Cochran, ON in November 1978. I just found these two. Does the first one look to be in Cochrane? The second photo looks like the shields on the car in the first photo. What does it mean?

That is the coat of arms of the Province of Ontario. The motto in Latin translates as: "Loyal she began, loyal she remains." It refers to the Loyalist refugees from the American Revolution, who settled in the Province of Canada, which later was divided into Upper Canada and Lower Canada. Those became, respectively, Ontario and Quebec.
