More EMCCs on 120 in Halifax
Author: cn6218

The seemingly endless parade of GEVOs is broken from time to time when CN assigns an 8000, or something even more exotic to lead 120, the daily intermodal/container train into Halifax.

March 26 was one of those days, with SD70M-2 8936 leading 8870 and 2999 across the causeway splitting Rocky Lake, roughly mile 14 of the Bedford Sub.  Not shown is DPU 2257, somewhere back in the middle of the train.

With the time change and the train a bit early for optimal lighting at my usual vantage point above the curve on Birch Cove, I moved down the track a few hundred metres for this set as 120 rolled past on the transfer track.  At this point they are slowing to get the switch into Rockingham Yard, or to at least confirm that it is set the way they need it to be.
