Canadian Railroads > Odds and ends from here and thereDate: 07/17/19 11:51 Odds and ends from here and there Author: loleta Various responsibilities have kept me from taking many photos lately, but I've managed to get out there for one or two shots, close to home, on several occasions over the past month:
1. The weekly southbound Rocky Mountaineer passes under an abandoned gravel conveyer, south of Shannon on CN's Squamish Sub. (BC). 2. I should have brought my 10,000mm lens: train 570 at the south switch of Cheakamus. 3. 570 on a different day, also at Cheakamus. Loleta Fernbridge Date: 07/17/19 11:54 Re: Odds and ends from here and there Author: loleta From July 16:
4, 5. BC Rail 4609 switches ballast cars in Squamish yard. 6. Train 594 backs toward the Squamish docks. - L.F. Date: 07/17/19 15:19 Re: Odds and ends from here and there Author: isambard All nice photos, but the second one: Oh my. Beautiful.

Once you've got your roster shot of a GE or GM unit and know what they look like, the big context shots really do the job of showing the scale of a train in that monstrous natural beauty! Glad you used the lens you did.
