Canadian Railroads > Penn Central in Toronto, 1970

In the 1970's, the Toronto,Hamilton & Buffalo operated a daily freight between the cities named in their title.  T.H.&B was jointly owned by CP and the NYC.

The motive power on the through freight in the 1970's was TH&B power one day, NYC (and later PC) the next.

In this image, the TH&B freight is shown departing CP's Agincourt yard near Toronto on January 24th,1970.

Question? Are those GP9's on this freight part of a small fleet of Canadian built NYC locomotives?

7431 and 7429 were Canadian built, GMDD London, ON.  Can't make out the third unit's number.  By this date and time the engines 7429 and 7431 had been re-assigned out on the US.
