Cinematic Cisco -- Trains Meet in the Fraser Canyon
Author: BoxcarGaynor

Recently I had the pleasure of traveling across the country aboard VIA Rail's Canadian. The Toronto to Vancouver run has been a bucket-list adventure of mine since I was a kid and the experience was everything I'd dreamed of (more on this in a separate post).

Upon arriving in Vancouver, three hours early I might add, I met up with a couple of local railfans who graciously offered me a tour of the Fraser Canyon. The day was primarily spent between Boston Bar and Spences Bridge and traffic was busy. Both Canadian National and Canadian Pacific provided a near-constant stream of traffic to keep us entertained and our camera shutters clicking.

For the last train(s) of the day, I decided to put up my drone in hopes of capturing some aerials of CN's renowned Cisco bridge. As a westbound CN container train was traversing the high bridge, along came an eastbound CP! Check out the video below to see the action unfold.

Very nice - I'm still hoping to get a head end over/under there one day.  Close but no cigar a couple times.
