And dogs they sure turned out to be. Sixty General Motors SD90MAC's built between 1998 & 99, shelved a few years later, three scrapped by 2012, the remaining 57 rebuilt into SD70ACU's. But sure impressive when they were on the road as was 9147 stretching it out west of Irvine Alberta on June 16, 2001.  And no I was not driving at the time.

Well you nailed that one, Richard! I agree that they were impressive-looking. The boxes and shrouds and everything that was not smooth about them (unlike 6-axle MLWs) actually added to their appeal.
