Canadian Railroads > A Dog's BreakfastDate: 01/17/23 09:02 A Dog's Breakfast Author: cn6218 121's power was coming off the shop track in Fairview on April 16, 2009. The two Dash-9s, 2603 and 2562, were bracketing a couple IC units, Dash 8-40CW 2455 and SD70 1032. The four units were on their way to Rockingham, about a mile to the west, where they would put together their train and leave for Moncton about 90 minutes later. In the background is the Fairview (Halifax) car shop and more tracks for storing MoW equipment, The black silo is used for transloading grain for the Olands Brewery in the north end of Halifax. I don't think it ever had direct rail access, but the silo was once located on the Windsor Park Spur, less than a mile from the brewery. The Windsor Park Spur has been gone since the 1980s.
