Canadian Railroads > Debert, NS: New SignalsDate: 03/03/23 10:45 Debert, NS: New Signals Author: cn6218 Debert, about 11 miles west of Truro, NS on on the Springhill Sub used to be the location of a siding, team track, and a spur to a chicken hatchery that received covered hoppers of feed. First the siding was single-ended, and then everything else was gradually pared away too, until even the station location sign was gone in 2000. But with the signal project begun after Hurricane Fiona, Signal Work at Belmont, NS (trainorders.com) Debert is once again home to a set of signals, even if they are only intermediates. There are two LED heads for eastward trains, and just a single one for westbounds.
Train Z120 was roaring past the new lights at 11:25 on February 9, with the usual trio of AC GEs providing the power, 2818 and 2888 up front and 3207 as DPU. GTD ![]() ![]() |
