BCOL 718 leading train #38 slogging up the grade at Mackin BC.  Another 12 or so miles to go and the crew will arrive at their home terminal Williams Lake, BC after a night trip from Prince George. Memories from late April or early May 1985.

You caught a great scene made even better by the two MLW's.

Adding to my post...
The OV was a great train to handle, 2 units leading plus a pair of mid-train remote units cut back in the train. Generally the manifest was sulfur, lumber and pulp loads as well as slug of TOFC on the tail end. In my image there is also some covered gondolas loaded with copper concentrate from Gibraltar Mine. On this particular day I was on the VO symbol "run extra" north and in the siding waiting for #38 to pass by. Generally the VO went to work in Williams Lake early morning 0400 - 0500. Upon arrival at Prince George we had 5&1 crew rest and then departed Prince George on time table train #38 (OV symbol). All going well we would arrive back in Williams Lake very early in the next morning, 0300-0500.Those were the days of real Precision Schedule Railroad.

Good stuff, nice location.
The copper concentrate loads were prevalent but I never knew the story.
