Two Seasons at East Mines Station in Nova Scotia
Author: cn6218

10 years ago last week there was still plenty of snow on the ground at East Mines Station, at mile 13.45 of CN's Springhill Sub.  SD70M-2 8911 was leading a pair of GEs and train Q120 past the frozen blueberry fields on March 13.

On October 13, 2010, sister unit 8909 was leading the same train number just before 9 am.  Q120 has just tipped over a slight rise and is now dropping down towards Debert on a 0.7% grade.
