First photo appear to be in Wernigerode.
That center photo shows one of their baby mallets 0-4-4-0-T 100 years old
One would think this line a tourist operation, but instead it is a regular (private) line.

Yep, they use steam 365 days a year. The Mallet was out on a New Years Day special up to the Brocken and back with some vintage stock and, yes, the first picture is through the back gardens of Wernigerode. I've more shots of the line here.
