This has been a great series. A great look back at a world long gone. It's amazing how much things have changed in a relatively short period of time.

The two pictures are taken at the yard in Hamburg Tiefstack and show the V2.017 of the "Eisenbahn-Aktiengesellschaft Altona-Kaltenkirchen-Neumünster", short AKN.

The V 2.017 is one of a series of four MaK G 1100 BB delivered to AKN between 1970 and 1972. I was able to catch her sister, V 2.016, in 1983 at the same location, after it derailed.

While I can't help with the location, this picture shows a DR (Deutsche Reichsbahn) class 106 (former class V 60) locomotive.
