A sample of GWR "Hall" Class 4-6-0's.  A section follows which is a going-away shot of 7904's train.

1.  BR 7900 St Peter's Hall - Banbury 8-17-55
2.  BR 7927 Willington Hall - Newbury 3-56
3.  BR 7904 Fountains Hall - Bulls Lock 'box 5-5-56

Great shots.  In photo #2 - what are cars #2 and 3?  Parcels vans?    Newspaper vans?   They certainly look like they are from a different era than the other cars in the train.

Mr. Hall had a fine eye and technique! I wonder how he managed to access the tracks the way he did--weren't those somewhat restricted areas, even back then?
