Out of the mist, and into the sun
Author: 86235

Yesterday was one of those fine September days which start with some low lying mist. And so it was just after dawn in the valley of the River Monnow in the Welsh Marches for, firstly, the 1W91 06:45 Cardiff to Holyhead with 67010 up front and, secondly, 56302 on the 6V54 empty timber. The receding sound of the passenger train was replaced by the throaty roar of the approaching class 56. All unseen in the mist.

But by lunchtime it was warm and sunny, as the daily empty steel approaches Abergavenny station.

Very nice action series.  The last is my favorite.
Thanks for another excellent photo post.

Nice set, Nick. The new loco hauled passenger trains are a real boost. chris uk
