Winter bites back
Author: 86235

After 10 days of unseasonably warm weather today was a reminder of what March can be like, very cold with a biting north easterly wind and a dusting of snow above 750'. The sun shone too first thing so out I went, although even with gloves and four layers it was bitterly cold.

56113 is still plugging up and down the Marches Line on the Kronospan log train, these are the morning empties heading back to Baglan Bay for another load, Sugarloaf Mountain in the background is dusted with a light covering of snow.
About 40 minutes later a Transport for Wales class 175 on the 1V90 06:20 Chester to Cardiff. Behind is Y Gaer, on top of which are the remains of an Iron Age hill fort.

Lovely sharp lighting, Nik. At the end of the heat wave the lighting was getting very hazy and white. Chris uk
