CSX: The Rochester Subdivision
Author: PennRailVideos

In northern New York, Penn Rail Videos explores the world of modern railroading, and mainline railfanning aboard the CSX Rochester Subdivision. We take you on an exciting adventure along this line through Rochester, in a few of the small towns just west of the big city. On a cold day, we spent about 6 hours on the line, and saw about 10 different trains, including two Amtrak trains! So sit back, and enjoy this video, complete with subtitles to give vital train and location information.

Very Nice. I wish more hot box detectors would tell the train speed.

Thanks! Here's a few pictures from the same day.

1. CSXT Q109 at Chili, NY.
2. CSXT P063 speeding through Bergen, NY at 76MPH.
3. CSXT Q380 was a nice catch with a pair of NS C40-9W in the lead at Churchville, NY.

4. The catch of the day, was a pair of pumpkins leading a pair of 70MACs, on CSXT Q351. In perfect lighting, to boot.

Hope y'all like the pictures and the video!

Q109 is an intermodel train, it never has covered hoppers. What you have here is more liklely K211, a unit salt train out of Rochester.

Biff is correct. The second train that you have listed was indeed a Q109. Thats a UPS train from NJ to Chicago. The first you have listed as K231, it is indeed K211, Salt loads from R&S in Rochester, NY to Newell, PA

Good video's, that grey Ford Ranger sure does look good. Someone must have kept it in pretty good shape!!

The salt train is listed, incorrectly, but the title is where it is supposed to be. Simple typo. Glad you've enjoyed the video.
