SOU 4610 update
Author: halfmoonharold

Unit is marked for "Oakwood Shop". Apparently won't be going anywhere today.

Just as well. Weather crapped out around in Romulus around 11:15 and was toast in Toledo by 13:30.

What's going on with the 4610, though -- making the Shop Tour of Norfolk Southern? (SYSTEM TOUR 2001: Altoona, Chattanooga, Detroit, ???)

How 'bout some NW red to go with SR green?

I know this NW red predates NS, but it
shore is purty, nonetheless.

Sure would be nice to see it come thru Toledo so I can get a shot of it.

Reportedly it had a ground-relay problem when it arrived in Detroit.

Hmmmmm... didn't the 4610 just come out of Altoona recently? Sounds like another quality job by Juniata. With Schuster gone, JBS better clean up their act and start proving to NS that the system is better off with that shop than without...

Well, it's on 332, 3rd unit, by Milan at 300pm. Hope you get to see it in Toledo! Nice shot of the red units, I always liked seeing them, but to me N&W was a "blue" road, which was more in keeping with the NKP/Wabash heritage up here on the north end.

Working the Second today, won't get to see it. Not a big deal since it's trailing anyway. Maybe it'll flip back out of Bellevue tomorrow on the point of 331? I can only hope....

I had to work to hope it comes back also.
