Eastern Railroad Discussion > Canadian Pacific in PhillyDate: 05/02/01 10:55 Canadian Pacific in Philly Author: OCtrainguy I spent most of Monday railfanning in Philadelphia, particularly near CSX's Greenwich Yard. On my way out of the area, there is a road that parallels the tracks near the docks. I was suprised to see a Canadian Pacific SD40-2 and a Soo Line locomotive near a string of boxcars. A little further down the road, I saw a Canadian Pacific GP38-2, with the beaver logo. Does Canadian Pacific have any trackage rights here or were they visiting?

Date: 05/02/01 12:56 RE: Canadian Pacific in Philly Author: toledopatch CP, through its ownership of the D&H, has access to Philadelphia's waterfront district, including a container terminal. That's probably what you saw.
