Clinton, Tennessee
Author: TennesseeTom

Coming home from church one Wednesday evening I saw these EMD's sitting at the end of the yard in South Clinton, so naturally I stopped and got the tripod and camera out. Then the locomotives moved and stopped which made me think my shot would be messed up, but it turned out to look interesting.

Three EMD's bring some coal hoppers into the yard in South Clinton. To the right are some loaded wood chip cars ready to go to John Sevier Yard in Knoxville.

1. A high nosed EMD SD40-2 sits in the yard in South Clinton with other EMD's as an auto rack train passes.

2. They are still sitting in the yard waiting to leave for Knoxville.

I like both of your shots of the train crossing the Clinch river. Interesting series.
