This morning a filthy dirty Virginian led a loaded grain train down the Clinton Industrial in Toledo stopping on the western edge of the University of Toledo main campus by the Medical Center building. Despite the "wash me" plea on the side of the cab the Medical Center apparently couldn't help the dirty girl despite a several hour wait. The 1069 ended up nose to tail with a GE for the remainder of the trip down to Toledo yard in the middle of the day.

They are on all of the units. It keeps the door from opening after the side latches are released. Then the center latch is lifted and the door can be opened safely.

Looks good to me. RR engines do get some grime!!

Nice shots. Were #2 and #3 taken at the same location? If so, it is interesting to see the colors on the Virginian change between the two shots.

All 3 same spot - I didn't put much effort into color correction since they were so-so shots to begin with, but the detail shot is probably a little closer to true whereas the other two are a little warm

Must be a good runner if it stays on the road so long.
