Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS 6920 leading 255Date: 12/18/12 08:33 NS 6920 leading 255 Author: perf4strivection A friend just reported that the Veteran's unit is leading NS 255, a Detroit - Kansas City roadrailer that works Fort Wayne before running via the Wabash west out of town. Train was departing Fort Wayne less than an hour ago.

Anyone know which one is which?
Date: 12/18/12 16:39 Re: NS 6920 leading 255 Author: IC1034 It terminates at Voltz/Kansas City. 267 is the one that turns into the BNSF Q-KCKSAG at Argentine Yard in Kansas City (some days at least, other days it just terminates in Mitchell, IL's Triple Crown facility).

I was under the notion that 255 was the only westbound roadrailer to KC...hence why I was under the assumption why it became the KCKSAG. Be cafeful when you assume, huh? :) Thanks for pointing that out Lewis. I'll make note of that on the NS symbol list. Andrew Posted from iPhone Date: 12/18/12 18:13 Re: NS 6920 leading 255 Author: dpc37 I can confirm that 255 terminates at Voltz/Kansas City and that 267 is the
BNSF train I have seen 255 go to the BNSF one time but that was on a weekend Sunday night. 260 is the Voltz train eastbound and 240 is the eastbound train from the BNSF I have also seen a 248 symbol used on Saturday before. |
