Eastern Railroad Discussion > Berea, OH QuestionDate: 03/09/13 21:47 Berea, OH Question Author: CSXT_8437 Good Morning:
Which railroad runs the most trains through Berea, OH? Also, does NS control the signals on CSX trackage in this area, even though there is no diamond? Thank you in advance. Date: 03/09/13 22:54 Re: Berea, OH Question Author: zchcsse NS runs the most trains on average, and each railroad controls their own signals.

No, CSX does not control all the signals on their side, we still control the ones on the north main at the connecting track. That will be changing this summer though as a project is in the works to turn over the ones we control to CSX. But I guess the situation is getting rectified soon then. Date: 03/10/13 12:52 Re: Berea, OH Question Author: toledopatch zchcsse Wrote:

Since the crossovers there are rarely used, I suspect NS just leaves the CSX signals at Berea fleeted for westward movement unless the CSX people request otherwise (or there's a W&LE train to run). |
