Trying to learn night photography
Author: wmfan3798

I've been trying to work on my night photography lately with limited success, just thought I would share a couple shots I think came out ok. Shots are from the Mon line in SW PA.

I like the shots of 9470; I prefer available light over the phonied up eleventy-eleven flash bulb shots.

Gentlemen, I hate to be the spoil sport. But WMfan, are you an NS employee?
But despite that, these are indeed awesome shots.

Yes I am. I keep a camera in my car and watch for a shot that looks like it would be a nice photo and then just wait for everything to come together, could be a couple days or it could be a couple months. Like I said I'm trying to learn night photography and I'm not very tech Savvy so I couldn't tell you any of the settings the camera was on, I just hit the buttons turn the dial and take a test shot to see what it looks like.

Learning? You could have fooled me. For some reason I think you have the hang of it. We all should improve our technique as we take more and more pictures but your composure is great and the exposures are great. Just keep up the good work and keep sharing them with us.
