Hello everyone,

I headed to Waycross, Georgia to see the movement of Okefenokee Techs new addition. Progress Rail teamed with Utilco Services and the City of Waycross to haul the massive 380,000 lbs loco down Carswell Ave to the college. A 6/10 of a mile haul using four of Utilco's cranes and five track panels that they rotated around from start to finish and it took all day for them to make the venture.

Photo 1: PRLX 3066 is positioned and cranes are hooked up.

Photo 2: PRLX 3066 is rotated all the way opposite of the tracks.

Photo 3: PRLX 3066 is then pulled by the Utilco truck down Carswell Ave on track panels.

Nice coverage. Does the Okefenokee Technical College offer a locomotive maintenance program? CSX appears to be involved. Sharp looking paint job.

Yes for the guys at Utilco too. They should be really well trained in laying track panels after that venture...

Fully operational engine. Progress did all the fixing up.

And those track booms roll over the campus green and concrete without laying down anything to minimize the damage each boom's tracks make... good times.
